Cini Boeri, 1972
First designed in 1972, and winner of a Compasso d'Oro in 1979, the Strips sofa system was testimonial to a new way of being unfettered, liberated living, and for sofas to be treated like sleeping-bags, or be used as beds. Cini Boeri reproduced the softness of down of old cushions (which the foam rubber took away) in the sofa cover, fully removable, washable and changeable. Relaunched thirty years later in 2003, the Strips retains its unmistakable quilted upholstery, and its heavenly comfort.
Configurable using multiple modules. Also available as a bed or sofa-bed.
